The Bf 110 V1 prototype was completed in summer 1936, making its maiden flight on May 12, 1936, with test pilot Rudolf Opitz. Early flight tests revealed issues, most notably poor directional stability. The second prototype, Bf 110 V2, was sent to the testing center at Rechlin in early 1937, followed by the Bf 110 V3 in May of the same year. In total, five prototypes and three pre-production models were built, paving the way for further development of one of Germany’s most well-known twin-engine fighters of WWII.

More to read about the KIT here, thanks to scalemates, a Belgian Scale modeling database

https://aviation.brussels/products/maquette-a-monter-bf-110c-profipack-eduard-n-8201-1-48-like-new-inside-unopened
